Maslow Resigns As Open Stage Theatre's Producing Artistic Director

By:

The Pittsburgh City Paper is reporting that Open Stage Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, David M. Maslow, has resigned following the announcement that the theater will give up the group's long-time performance venue and will go on a six-month hiatus.

During the 2008-2009 season, the company produced Suzan-Lori Parks' The America Play, Nilaja Sun's No Child... and Disinfecting Edwin, a new play by Pittsburgh playwright Amy Hartman.

"I'm not sure if they'll be back in six months," says Maslow, who has been head of the organization for the past two seasons. The paper reports he plans to pursue other theater-related work in the area.
