Longtime collaborators the Ying Quartet and CMIO Artistic Director/ cellist Zuill Bailey reunite in a special program that features an unforgettable adaptation of Schumann’s most expressive cello concerto, as well as intimate performances of his lesser known works for cello quintet. The Ying Quartet occupies a position of unique prominence in classical music, combining brilliantly communicative concerts with a fearlessly imaginative view of chamber music.

Bailey is widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry and dynamic personality has secured his place as one of the most sought after cellists today.
