In a dystopian world where language is rationed to only 1,000 allowed words, Alli and her son Orhan live a normal life; going to school, owning and operating a bakery. Life is good until the words “I think I see a city that rues words” are plastered on a wall over the bakery and a pen goes missing from the local school. Then The City begins a man-hunt for the perpetrator. During this time our hero, Orhan, discovers that even a single word can change the world.

March 27, 2025 After helming eight award-winning seasons, the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre's Producing Artistic Director and co-founder Bryan Rafael Falcón will step aside this July to welcome new leaders Annika Maher and Zac Austin.About the Theatre
The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre is an award-winning Tucson-based professional theater company founded in 2016 by Bryan & Elizabeth Falcón. We are dedicated to sharing diverse stories about and by historically excluded voices as well as creating immersive, imaginative experiences for audiences of all ages. Our physical spaces, a 100 seat proscenium theater and a 40 seat black box space are located at The Historic Y, in the 4th Avenue Shopping District.
The Scoundrel & Scamp is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
