Nearly 10 years after taking the reins, Theater Works Executive Director Jack Lytle has announced his intention to retire in early 2012. Theater Works, founded in 1986, is the West Valley's longest-running theater company.

Jack Lytle, Theater Works Executive Director

"Ten years ago Theater Works was on life support and not expected to survive. Not only did we prove the naysayers wrong, but Theater Works has become a major force in the West Valley theater scene and has one of the most successful and prolific youth programs," Lytle said.

"It has been a privilege to serve on the Theater Works Board with Jack Lytle as the CEO over the past 10 years.   His patience and guidance has helped us create a truly world class Theater Program," said Thom Gyder, Theater Works Treasurer and past Board Chairman.

"The Theater Works Board has been preparing over the past few years-- as a part of our annual strategic planning process-- for the orderly transition of Jack's retirement.  We have put a search committee together and have a transition plan in place.  We wish Jack and his family the best," said Sharon Grambow, Theater Works Board Chairman.

Theater Works is a Non-profit theater company based in the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of Peoria, Arizona and proudly serves arts patrons from around the entire valley and state.
