By:

Puppet Works will present Dusty Locks and the Three Bears with 4 free performances on June 23rd and 24th at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. Based on Susan Lowell's award winning book, the play is a lively Western retelling of Goldilocks. The free performances plus a puppet "make-n-take" will be at 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th. Seating and supplies are limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Way out West live three bears who like to keep their cabin neat and tidy. But one day while they're out for a walk, a dirty little girl barges in and she hadn't had a bath for a month of Sundays, so everybody called her Dusty Locks. But Trouble was her middle name. When the bears come home to find their nice, neat house looking like it's been hit by a whirlwind, they get riled-and Dusty Locks runs home so fast the dust doesn't settle for a week.

Author Susan Lowell spends part of her time on a small ranch in the desert and the rest of her time in Tucson, Arizona. She is the author of several bestselling books for children, including Little Red Cowboy Hat and The Three Little Javelinas.

Dusty Locks and the Three Bears Puppet Show will perform at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. daily and may be reached at 623-815-7930.
