This musical has had great success throughout the United States, including a successful off-Broadway run. According to American Theatre Magazine, it is one of the most produced musicals in America, as well as being enjoyed by international audiences in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

But it is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically in a plane crash at the age of 30 in 1963. It is based on actual events dealing with Cline's friendship with Louise Seger - a fan from Houston who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961. The two continued to write to each other, with the title of the show taken from Cline's ending signature in her letters to Louise which were signed, "Love always..., Patsy Cline." The musical has down-home country humor, touching emotion and even some audience participation, and includes 27 of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, and Waking After Midnight. It was created by Ted Swindly in 1988 in Houston, Texas where he was the founding artistic director of Stages Repertory Theatre.

And as if being the most popular show about Patsy Cline wasn't enough, PFAA has scored a coup by casting April Manchester in the role of Patsy! The Clyde Score Band (from her Arizona Revue and Arizona Jamboree days) will back her up. Sharing the stage and playing the essential role of Patsy's real-life fan and friend, Louise, is Linda Fine. Prescottonians will be hard pressed to find a more exciting summer event. All over the country, Always...Patsy Cline is an audience favorite and constantly sold out, so encourage friends to call 928-445-3286 or e-mail tickets@pfaa.net to reserve tickets.

PFAA is located at 208 N.Marina St. in Prescott at the corner of N. Marina and Willis.
