Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of ABT's THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL, Opening Tomorrow

By:

As its eighth season comes to a close, Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) - the highest-attended, live year-round theatre in the Valley of the Sun - will produce the laugh-out-loud and unapologetic comedic musical - The Great American Trailer Park Musical from September 6 - 29. Tickets can be purchased now at azbroadway.org or by calling the ABT box office at (623) 776-8400. Meet the cast of the production below!

The comical look at life in a trailer park was first produced in 2005, with a national tour and regional revivals appearing shortly thereafter. The story follows the lives of seven trailer-park dwellers in the fictional community of Armadillo Acres. When a stripper on the run arrives in town life gets a bit rocky for everyone - especially married high-school sweethearts Norbert and Jeannie Garstecki.

"At its core, this show hysterically displays real people with real-life problems," said Kurtis W. Overby, director of The Great American Trailer Park Musical. "It adds in-your-face humor, exaggeration and memorable music to struggles we have all seen someone face, or even faced ourselves."

The intimate cast of professional performers includes many familiar faces to the ABT stage, but also welcomes newcomer Molly Tower who will be playing the role of Jeannie Garstecki. Adam Vargas (Anything Goes; Man of LaMancha) will be playing the role of Jeannie's simpleton husband Norbert Garstecki. The two are joined on stage by Lynzee Jaye Paul 4man (Joseph...; 9 to 5) as Pippi and Justin Jutras (Grease; Bye Bye Birdie) as Pippi's crazed ex-boyfriend Duke. Trisha Hart Ditsworth (Joseph...; Into the Woods), Carolyn McPhee (Into the Woods, 9 to 5) and Kathi Osbourne (The Full Monty) comprise the show's trio of trailer park storytellers - Pickles, Lin and Betty.

Tickets are on sale now for evening and matinee performances. Prices vary according to date, time and availability. The Great American Trailer Park Musical is for mature audiences only. For more information about Arizona Broadway Theatre, and to purchase tickets contact the box office at (623) 776-8400 or visit azbroadway.org.
