Eddie Izzard Announces Live Book Events for BELIEVE ME

Eddie Izzard will bring his new memoir, Believe Me, to life with a limited tour of once-in-a-lifetime live events June 14-22, 2017.

Each ticketholder will receive a copy of Believe Me as they enter the theater. The intimate evenings will feature Izzard performing stand-up, sharing personal photos, discussing his personal and professional life, reading from Believe Me, and will conclude with a Q&A with the audience.

Izzard's first book, Believe Me, details his childhood, his first performances on the streets of London, his ascent to worldwide success on stage and screen, and his comedy shows, which have won over audiences around the world. Believe Me will be released on June 13, 2017, by Blue Rider Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Over the course of a thirty-year career, Eddie Izzard has proved himself to be a creative chameleon, inhabiting the stage and film and television screen with an unbelievable fervor. Born in Yemen and raised in Northern Ireland, Wales, and England, he lost his mother at the age of six and that has affected the rest of his life. In his teens, he dropped out of university and took to the streets of London as part of a comedy double act.
