ASU Kerr and The Nash present Jazz In Concert

ASU Kerr Cultural Center and The Nash announce their 2018 Jazz in Concert Series. Made possible by a grant from The Jazzbird Foundation, the series celebrates jazz legends at 3 distinct concerts at Kerr.

Tickets for all shows are $36 premium, $32 reserved, $25 general admission. $10 for concert goers 21 and under. Senior and group discounts are also available. Kerr Cultural Center is located at 6110 N. Scottsdale Rd. (west of Scottsdale Rd. off of Rose Ln.). Scottsdale, AZ 85253

The Miles Davis show features Fred Forney, a Valley giant of jazz education and "first-call" trumpet player for decades of Broadway and major artist shows. His group includes Grammy-Award-winning pianist Nick Manson and nationally-acclaimed saxophonist Brice Winston. Forney's Miles Davis show has a history of sold-out performances, dazzling audiences with the music of this most versatile and influential of jazz giants.

The Dave Brubeck show features phenomenal pianist Nicole Pesce and saxophonist Jerry Donato, paying homage to Paul Desmond. Virtuoso talent Pesce and her highly-regarded bandmates will explore favorites of Brubeck's music, such as "Take Five," which has been in regular rotation on mainstream and contemporary jazz radio stations for five decades.

Billie Holiday has devotees across generations. This show features remarkable Valley vocalist Sherry Roberson, along with World Series-fame trumpeter Jesse McGuire, the beloved Charles Lewis on piano, bass virtuoso Bob Lashier and a very special guest, the world-renowned Lewis Nash on drums. This show includes Roberson's performance of a segment from a play about Lady Day that reveals the life of this timeless jazz icon.
