Theater Works is proud to present Mark Twain's classic tale THE ADVENTURES OF Tom Sawyer.   This Broadway version of Mark Twain's immortal novel is set in 1840 in St. Petersburg, Missouri, a bustling town on the banks of the Mississippi River.  Directed by award winner Athena Hunting, this cherished tale will capture the hearts of both adults and children.  THE ADVENTURES OF Tom Sawyer will open on this Thursday on November 4th and run through November 14th.  To celebrate this iconic story Theater Works is offering a "12 for 12" special for the opening weekend - purchase 12 or more tickets and each ticket will only be $12 dollars!

THE ADVENTURES OF Tom Sawyer will feature great music with an old time band that includes a banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and washboard!   There are suspense-filled moments as Tom and Becky are cornered by the knife-wielding outcast, Injun Joe!  And incredibly a raft floats down the Mississippi River as the three boys make their escape to a distant island - live on stage!  This production has a cast of 55 talented adults and youth and makes for a true celebration of the literary works Mark Twain!

Tickets are now on sale both online at theaterworks.org and at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts.  The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily and may be reached at 623-815-7930.  THE ADVENTURES OF Tom Sawyer runs November 4th - November 14th, with evening performances Thursday - Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.  Tickets are only $20.00 for adults and $16.00 for students (prices include service and processing fees).  To purchase tickets for the "12 for 12" special please call the Box Office.  Theater Works is located in the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (the theater with the copper roof) at 8355 W Peoria Avenue, Peoria.
