Yasuyo (Delphine Buencamino), visits her husband, Tatsuya (Brian Sy), in prison. He has been in prison four times for theft. Why do you steal? Yasuyo asks. Her husbands rather weak answers fail to convince. Left alone with a five-year-old son, Yasuyo barely manages to make ends meet, works in a supermarket, and gets special attention from the store manager. She looks at her husband across the prisons glass wall and thinks, Shall I break up with him or not? Life is disgusting and Yasuyo has had more than her fill of it already.
