RAK OF AEGIS Returns; Mariano, Marquez et al. Join Cast
Jimmy Marquez and OJ Mariano join the cast of

Manila, Philippines-Philippine Educational Theater Association's (PETA) new hit musical, RAK OF AEGIS, returns to PETA Theater Center (5 Eymard Drive, New Manila) with 67 more performances lined up! New additions to the cast are OJ Mariano (Kiel), Arnel Ignacio (Fernan), Jimmy Marquez (Jewel), Gio Gahol (ensemble), Abigail Sulit (ensemble), and Kimverlie Molina (Aileen).

Written by Liza Magtoto and directed by Maribel Legarda, RAK OF AEGIS, featuring songs popularized by Filipino rock band Aegis, "tackles Filipino resilience, or how the country faces and resolves compromising situations, whether this be a natural disaster or a broken heart. Set in a subdivision that has been flooded for two months, RAK OF AEGIS revolves around the love interests of the main characters, whose names are derived from those of Aegis band members as a tribute to the Filipino novelty rock group that made waves in the '90s."*

Original cast members reprising their respective roles are husband and wife team, Robert Seña (Kiel) and Isay Alvarez (Mary Jane); Aicelle Santos (Aileen); as well as Kalila Aguilos, Kakai Bautista, Noemi Gonzales, Jerald Napoles, Pepe Herrera, Myke Salomon (also musical director), Poppert Bernadas, Nor Domingo, Julienne Mendoza, Ron Alfonso, Philip Palmos, Gold Villar, Gimbey Dela Cruz, Jet Barrun, Paeng Sundayan, Carlon Matobato, and John Moran.

Mio Infante is set designer; Jonjon Villareal, lighting designer; Carlo Pagunaling, costume designer; Maco Custodio, shoe designer; and Jo-ann Pamintuan, accessory designer.
