Conceived and directed by Daniel Fish, Kramer/Fauci dramatizes the 1993 televised clash between Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading AIDS researcher, and playwright-activist Larry Kramer. The production is based on a C-SPAN interview originally recorded on November 30, 1993, and explores the confrontation charged with rage, urgency, and unexpected intimacy that crystallized a turning point in the fight for care, treatment, and recognition. Fish frames their exchange as both history and provocation, examining how art, activism, and public health collide on deeply human terms.
