Godavari: Who Am I? at Performance Garage

Godavari: Who Am I? is a multidisciplinary performance blending classical South Indian Bharatanatyam dance with original music and a shifting visual landscape, presented as part of the 2026 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Conceived and performed by Vijay Palaparty, Nalini Prakash, and Ramya Kapadia, the work unfolds as a series of fluid, interconnected moments moving between narrative and sensation. Rooted in the sacred presence of the Godavari River, the performance traces a journey through memory, devotion, abundance, love, and quiet loss, drawing from layered mythic and devotional narratives associated with the river. The work moves between intimacy and expansiveness, allowing meaning to emerge gradually through rhythm, movement, and attention.
