A Hundred Years On is a world premiere oratorio about the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, composed by Peter Boyer with a libretto by Mark Campbell. The work is conducted by Anthony Parnther, directed by Tazewell Thompson, and performed by The Crossing and The Philadelphia Orchestra alongside sopranos Mary Dunleavy and Meredith Lustig, mezzo-soprano Eve Gigliotti, tenor David Portillo, and baritone Malcolm J. Merriweather. Audiences experience a single day at the 1876 Centennial Exposition through five characters traversing Fairmount Park, the site of both the historic expo and the concert.
