Henry and Mudge, Cynthia Rylant's best-selling children's series, comes to life as part of the Walnut Street Theatre for Kids Series! This heartwarming musical adaptation will charm your entire family on Saturday, February 4, with performances at 10:30am, 1pm and 3:30pm.

Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Luckily Henry has Mudge-a big, slobbery, canine buddy to share his adventures with him. When Mudge gets lost one day, Henry must brave the dark forest to find his best friend. Will Henry find Mudge in time? Look for clues in this exciting live performance.

Lyricist/composer team Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk have local roots, as they first met working on a show for the Young People's Theatre Workshop at The Players' Club of Swarthmore in Glen Mills, PA. The delightful choreography of Henry and Mudge was nominated for a 2007 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway, and Kerrigan and Lowdermilk are the 2006 recipients of a Jonathan Larson Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre.

The Walnut Street Theatre for Kids Series is celebrated for bringing families together through reading and the arts. Each season encourages parents and grandparents to read to their favorite kids and then bring them to see the stories come to life on stage. The Walnut takes pride in bridging the communication gap between parents (and grandparents!) and their kids.

Tickets for Henry and Mudge are only $10-$15. This one hour musical is recommended for audiences grades K-6.

For tickets and information, please call 215-574-3550 or 800-982-2787 or visit the Walnut's website at: www.WalnutStreetTheatre.org.
