WONDERLAND: THE MUSICAL Will Make Regional Premiere in Allentown

Star of the Day will present the regional premiere of Wonderland, a modern, high-energy musical adventure created by Tony-nominated composer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel) and Jack Murphy.

Wonderland takes a contemporary spin on the classic Lewis Carroll story, set in the high-stakes, fast-paced world of modern-day Manhattan. Follow Alice, a busy, stressed-out game designer whose life is falling apart- estranged from her husband, juggling a career, and losing her joy-until a broken service elevator transports her into a colorful, dazzling, and "back-stabbing" Wonderland.

"We are beyond excited to bring this reimagined, contemporary journey to Allentown audiences," says Kirsten Almeida at Star of the Day. "This show is a joyful, thrilling adventure about rediscovering your inner child and learning to believe in yourself again. It is truly a celebration of self-discovery, filled with a massive, pop-rock score that will absolutely blow the roof off the theater!".

Wonderland features a fresh pop-rock score, blending a familiar story with a modern twist.

The staff included director Daniel Petrovich, musical director Rich Lovallo, choreographer Kirsten Almeida, and stage manager Tera Williams.

The cast features Jessie Dau Hughes as Alice, Adleigh Burdine as Chloe/Young Alice, Raven Whitefawn as Ms. Maddie Quizzle/Mad Hatter, Nathaniel Lawall as Richard Hopper/Rabbit, Dara Connelly as Everheart/Queen of Hearts, Jared LaMar as Tyrell Leggett/Caterpillar, Benjamin Ruth as Purrez/El Gato, Joseph Mowad as Mo/Morris, Safran Astra as Chaz, and Sean McFarland as Jack/White Knight. The ensemble includes Courtney Bodnar, Lydia Frei, Rebecca Herrera, Logan Razar, Julisa Trinidad, and Hannah Zarate.

Performances will run May 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 7:30PM, and May 10 and 17 at 3PM at Between the Lines Studio Theatre, 725 N. 15th Street, Allentown, PA.
