Actor Jack Raymond, who plays Moritz in The Media Theatre's current production of Spring Awakening, will host a live Twitter chat on Wednesday, April 11 at 6 pm. The hour-long chat will allow Twitter users to connect with Raymond on a person-to-person basis. Followers may ask him about the musical, his career, his role, even his likes and dislikes during the candid chat.

For those who are not "Twitter-literate," it's very easy to be involved in the live chat. Simply go to Twitter, log in or create an account of your own (no cost) and then Tweet to @SAatMedia with the hashtag (#) #springawakeningatmediatheatre.

Anyone involved in the live Twitter chat with Jack Raymond will be automatically entered into a raffle to win two onstage seats at Spring Awakening. The seats put audience members up close to the action, as they watch the Duncan Sheik Tony winning rock musical from the viewpoint of an actor.

Spring Awakening focuses on a group of German students in 1891. As they come of age their sexuality, morality, and choices become issues which they can no longer escape from. The adult characters in the rock musical are unable to connect to the youth's issues in ways that will assist in shaping their futures. This dilemma is the catalyst for such songs as "Totally F'd" and "The Bitch of Living". The juxtaposition of a narrative based on Frank Wedekind's late nineteenth-century piece with current radio-friendly music creates a relevant, energetic musical.
