Molly Scullion's One-Woman Show I'M OK, ARE YOU OK? Tells Tales of Therapy at PHIT
Philadelphia comedian Molly Scullion brings her one-woman show "I'm Ok, Are You Ok?" to PHIT Comedy on March 9 and March 10.
The scripted work is about winning, losing, and overcoming. Scullion wrote the show after undergoing various types of therapy. (Note: This show does contain a trigger warning, but is indeed a comedy show.) Her performance blends monologue, music, and reenactments of therapy sessions. A 2017 graduate of Temple University, Molly Scullion is a member of PHIT's improv team The Future and is head writer for the theater's sketch group The Decoy.
Scullion says of her show's origin, "The day after Election Day, I was very mad at the world and decided to do something that made me feel empowered. It's the best feeling in the world to take some things that used to make me very sad and turn them into things that make me (and other people) laugh."
"I'm Ok, Are You Ok?" is part of PHIT Comedy' Sketch Riot series. Performances are March 9 and March 10 at 8:30pm on PHIT's Mainstage. Tickets are $12 and general admission.
