The Keswick Theatre (291 N. Keswick Avenue, Glenside) hosts a Mother's Day Doo Wop event on May 8th at 8 PM.  Headlined by The Duprees, the other scheduled roll and rock acts are Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners, Arlene Smith's Chantels, Eddie Holman, and Bobby Lewis.

The Duprees are known most known for their interpretations of love songs. Their New Jersey street-corner roots are still audible in the doo wop harmonies. The Duprees became known for mixing doo-wop vocals with big band arrangements with songs like "You Belong to Me" making the Top 10. The Duprees followed up this success with their Top 40 hits "My Own True Love", "Have You Heard," and "Why Don't You Believe Me."

Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners, fronted by original member Jimmy Beaumont, are best known for their 1959 hit "Since I Don't Have You." They also hit the Top 40 with "This I Swear" and "Pennies From Heaven." Other classics include "It Happened Today", "Close Your Eyes", "Comes Love" and "Where Have They Gone."

Also appearing are Arlene Smith's Chantels ("He's Gone", "Maybe", "Every Night (I Pray)"), Eddie Holman ("Hey There Lonely Girl") and Bobby Lewis ("Tossin' and Turnin').
