iLuminate, the original glow-in-the-dark dance troupe that captivates audiences around the globe utilizing customized wireless lighting programs will be performing an exhilarating show at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Sept. 21 and 22, 2018, in Philadelphia, PA. For tickets and show information, visit kimmelcenter.org.

Founded by Miral Kotb, iLuminate shot to international fame when it was named "the best new act in America" on America's Got Talent. The entertainment company's patented technology enables performers, choreographers, and artistic directors to create explosive performances in the dark that mesmerize audiences of all ages.

iLuminate tells the story of a group of 20-somethings who dance to the beat of life as they move through a city of glowing colors and heart-pounding tempos. In this world, the audience is introduced to the fantastical journey of Jacob, a talented young artist who struggles to connect with the real world. Jacob takes comfort in his magical paintbrush, which grants him the power to turn the characters of his imagination into living, breathing creatures. But when a jealous townsperson steals the paintbrush and turns his creations into horrifying monsters, Jacob must face these dangers alone and fight to save his town and his friends.

The spectacular family-friendly production features nine cast members performing an array of dance styles ranging from contemporary to popping to breaking, set to popular and classic hits by Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, James Brown, Janet Jackson, LMFAO, The Wanted and Sam Smith on a completely dark stage. Cast members wear glow-in-the-dark suits that are controlled by patented wireless lighting programs to create specialized and choreographed dances and illusions.

"We have fantastic new elements planned in our fall tour shows," said Miral Kotb, creator of iLuminate. "We've added an interactive game scene in which audience members can participate in the live stage show to help solve the puzzle that rescues our main characters. It's the best time you'll have in the dark!"

iLuminate stars Daniel Amoros, Lisa Bauford, Matthew Dobbins, Daphne Driscoll, Lucia Joyce, Bryan Longchamp, Timara Melchor, Simon Mendoza, and Charles Way.

The production is written by Miral Kotb and Athena Sunga, and directed by Miral Kotb, with music by Justin "Kanobby" Keitt and Christopher Tignor, music direction by Matt Stine, consulting direction by West Hyler, fight direction by Rick Sordelet and Christian Kelly-Sordelet, lighting design by Miral Kotb and Jordan Monson, costume design by John "Jrock" Nelson, Marcus Allan Cobb, Grace Eddy, Sarita Fellows and Tara Weber, and choreography by Dario Mejia, John "Jrock" Nelson, Trevor "Cleva Trev" Harrison, Robert Vail, Marcus Allan Cobb, Lisa "L-Boogie" Bauford, and Miral Kotb.
