Gretna Theatre Hosts 3rd Annual Gala Idol Scholarship Competition 6/20
Gretna Theatre will be hosting its 3rd Annual Gala Idol Scholarship Competition on Saturday, June 20th, 2009, at 11 AM. Gretna Theatre is seeking young talent between the ages of 10 and 16 to participate for the chance to win one of four scholarship opportunities. Performers may be soloist Singers, Musicians, Comics, Jugglers, Magicians, or more!
All interested talent is encouraged to audition on Saturday, June 6th from 1pm to 4pm at the Mount Gretna Playhouse located at thecorner ofPennsylvania and Carnegie Avenues, Mt. Gretna, PA 17064.
Rules, registration, and audition criteria can be found on the Gretna Theatre website, at
www.gretnatheatre.com or by calling the Gretna Theatre Office at 717-964-3322. Contestants should complete their registration promptly in order to secure their audition on June 6th.
The competition will consist of three rounds; auditions on June 6th, the Initial Competition Round on
June 20th, and the Final Round on October 10th, 2009. The top finishers from the June 6th auditions will continue to the Initial Competition Round on June 20th. Finally, the four top finalists will perform at the Gretna Theatre Annual Gala at the Hershey Hotel on October 10th, 2009, where the final competition and awards will take place. The first place winner will receive a $250 scholarship, 4 Full Season Tickets to the Gretna Theatre's 2010 performances, along with a full scholarship to the Gretna Theatre's Summer Master Classes, and a role in a Summer 2010 production! The second, third, and fourth place winners will also be rewarded cash scholarships along with other wonderful prizes. All interested performers should call the Gretna Theatre Office and register as soon as possible to confirm their audition in this great competition!
