Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Set for Limited Run at State Theatre in June
A tale as old as time returns to the State Theatre for two timeless performances of the smash Broadway musical on June 3rd and 4th. Disney's Beauty and the Beast is the seventh addition to the 2014 season and is fun for the entire family.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this eye-popping spectacle has won the hearts of over 35 million people worldwide. This classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers including "Be Our Guest" and the beloved title song.
The original Broadway production was nominated for nine Tony Awards in 1994, with a win for Best Costume Design. The original London performance won a 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Seven new songs were written for the stage musical. Beauty ran on Broadway for 5,461 performances between 1994 and 2007, becoming Broadway's eighth longest-running production in history.
This is the fourth national tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Under the direction of the original Broadway creative team, the show features all new sets and costumes.
