Review: THE NUTCRACKER at Academy Of Music
By: Scott Serio
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- One way to know for sure the Christmas season has arrived in Philadelphia is the Pennsylvania Ballet's performance of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Based on George Ballanchine's classic choreography and staging, and under the meticulous eye of Artistic Director Angel Corella, the ballet opened Friday night at the Academy of Music and runs through New Year's Eve. Take an exclusive Broadway World look at the Friday afternoon "School Show", complete with views of Corella putting the finishing touches on staging. For ticketing information and show times, visit the ballet's website at http://paballet.org/programs/nutcracker/
