Walt Disney Studios has shared an all-new sneak peek of the upcoming live-action adaptation of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, featuring a table read with stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.

Happy Birthday Alan Menken! For Disney, Menken has scored The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Pocahontas, each of which won him two Academy Awards. He also composed the scores for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Enchanted, and Tangled. Menken has collaborated on several occasions with lyricists including Howard Ashman,Tim Rice and Stephen Schwartz. On Broadway, Menken has composed for The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors, King David, Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, Leap of Faith, and Newsies. His most recent Broadway project, Aladdin, is currently playing at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Tony, Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning lyricist Tim Rice is coming to Auburn, New York, this summer for the North American premiere of his new musical based on the novel by James Jones, 'From Here to Eternity' as part of Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival's 2016 season. Rice is best known for writing the lyrics to THE LION KING, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, ALADDIN, EVITA and more. Rice will be in Auburn for rehearsals. The show premieres June 29 and runs through July 20 at The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse as part of The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival's 2016 season.  Check out the trailer below!

Disney's new West End musical Aladdin opened last night, June 15, and tickets for the spectacular production are now on sale for performances up to and including February 11, 2017. Go inside opening night below!

Last night, Wednesday 15 June, saw the Opening Night of Disney's new West End musical Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre, London. Footage is also available to download featuring the cast's curtain call bows, celebrity arrivals on the carpet and interviews with the Aladdin cast and creative team including Dean John Wilson (Aladdin), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Genie) and Jade Ewen (Jasmine), composer Alan Menken and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw at the post-show party at the National Gallery.

Aladdin will have its official opening night at the Prince Edward Theatre tonight, June 15. Disney's new West End musical began preview performances on Friday 27 May and tickets for the spectacular production are now on sale for performances up to and including 11 February 2017. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place just last week in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart, who was joined by Kathryn Allison, Tia Altimay, Lauryn Ciardullo and Kathryn Terza to perform 'Friend Like Me' from Aladdin!

Tony and Grammy Award winner HEATHER HEADLEY just assumed the role of 'Shug Avery' in John Doyle's critically acclaimed production of the Broadway musical, The Color Purple. This is Ms. Headley's first appearance on Broadway since winning the 2000 Tony Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical for her performance in Aida. On last night's LATE LATE SHOW, host James Corden welcomed Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen to his theater company ahead of their performance of THE LION KING in the crosswalk of Beverly Boulevard at CBS.
