Digital Theatre has just announced that the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's Olivier Award-winning revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods will be added to its paid Youtube channel, for a limited run, from Thursday 5 September. Today also sees Digital Theatre announce a global virtual screening of the production at 7.30pm BST on Friday 27 September across all of Digital Theatre's platforms.

Into the Woods began performances at The Pearlstone Theater on March 7, as a coproduction between Westport Country Playhouse and Baltimore Centerstage. BroadwayWorld brings you highlights from the production below!

On tonight's premiere episode of NBC's GRIMM, homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) learns he's descended from the Brothers Grimm and must use his spooky sense (the ability to see demons and other creepy crawlies' true forms) as a way to solve crimes with eerie echoes of his forebears' fairy tales.

Into the Woods takes the stories of the Brothers Grimm and gives them a dark and humorous twist. The popular tales of Red Riding Hood, Jack (of Beanstalk fame), Cinderella and Rapunzel are interwoven with that of the Baker and his Wife and their quest to have a child. However this re-telling goes beyond ‘happily ever after' as the familiar characters find themselves in unfamiliar circumstances and hopes and dreams are questioned and revisited.

The stage has been constructed for INTO THE WOODS At Regent's open air theater.
