The first phase of #THEatreACCELERATOR program culminates in a live Shark-Tank-style pitch session where participants present their shows to theatre and tech industry veterans including Broadway Producers Deborah Taylor Barrera and Tom Polum, Tech Entrepreneur Helen Situ, Broadway Choreographer Michele Lynch, Investor and Producer Frank Kavanaugh and Investor Jonathan Ledden.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theatre of California, and Tony-nominated directorSheryl Kaller(Broadway's Next Fall and Off-Broadway's Adrift in Macao) present DANGEROUS BEAUTY, starringJenny Powers(Broadway's Grease as Rizzo and Little Women as Meg) as Veronica Franco. The world premiere musical features book and verse byJeannine Dominy(Warner Bros' Dangerous Beauty and Fox's The Ghost and Mrs. Muir), lyrics byAmanda McBroom(Pasadena Playhouse's Heartbeats and 'The Rose'/Bette Midler) and music byMichele Brourman(TV's The Land Before Time andUniversal Studios' The Little Engine that Could) and will be presented in association withSusan DietzandTara Smith. This week on March 2, 2010, the new cast of Broadway's Tony Award-winning Best Play, God of Carnage, including Tony nominee Dylan Baker (Alan), original Broadway cast member and Tony nominee Jeff Daniels (Michael), Emmy nominee Lucy Liu (Annette), and Tony winner for the West End production of God of Carnage Janet McTeer (Veronica), took the stage at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre.

The national tour of the musical adventure XANADU opens at the Orange County Performing Arts Center on December 15 and runs through December 27. This engagement is the only Southern California appearance scheduled on the national tour. XANADU is based on Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. XANADU is being presented by producers Robert Ahrens, Dan Vickery, Mickey Liddell, Tara Smith/B. Swibel in association with Latitude Link.

Will Ferrell stars in his first HBO special, a live, 90-minute performance of his current limited-run hit Broadway show, You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush. The program premieres Saturday March 14th at 9pm.
