The Old Globe presents The Last Goodbye, a new musical fusing Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with the incendiary songs of the legendary singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley. Conceived and adapted by Michael Kimmel, the rock musical is directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Bloody BloodyAndrew Jackson). Choreography is by Emmy Award nominee Sonya Tayeh ('So You Think You Can Dance'), and orchestrations, music direction and arrangements are by Kris Kukul. It will have a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto before leaving for Broadway where it opens in March of 2011. Everyone involved will be quick to tell you that the real 'star' of the show is 'Priscilla' herself, and BWW was on hand as Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) introduced 'Priscilla' to the Toronto press.
