Philadelphia Theatre Company opens its 2011-2012 season with the Philadelphia premiere of John Logan's Tony Award-winning drama Red October 14-November 13 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Anders Cato, the two-person cast features Broadway veteran Stephen Rowe and Oscar nominee Haley Joel Osment. Chichester's Festival 2011 closes with Sweeney Todd, the musical commonly acknowledged to beStephen Sondheim's masterpiece, in a cast led by distinguished musical performer Michael Ball and Oscar-nominated actress Imelda Staunton.

'Coriolanus,' a contemporary staging of Shakespeare's classic play about the titular Roman warrior, stars Ralph Fiennes, Gerard Butler, Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Cox, Jessica Chastain and James Nesbitt. The film marks Fiennes' directorial debut. CORIOLANUS made its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year and will play at the Toronto International Film Festival before hitting theaters in the US on December 2nd.

Robert Foxworth plays King Lear and Bruce Turk the Fool in Shakespeare's tragedy, directed by Festival Artistic Director Adrian Noble. The crowns are swapped in Alan Bennett's The Madness of George III, also helmed by Noble, where Miles Anderson will play King George III and Foxworth will play Dr. Willis. The Festival also includes Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Ron Daniels with Jonno Roberts and Emily Swallow as the two sparring lovers.
