On yesterday's THE CHEW on ABC, host Carla Hall got a backstage pass and a firsthand look at Broadway's hit musical NEWSIES.

Tim Drucker (writer - Fat Camp, Spider Musical) and Tracy Weiler (actress - theatre: Fat Camp; film: Fugly with John Leguizamo) wrote a pilot called Hot Fail. The half-hour comedy stars Noah Weisberg (theatre: Elf, South Pacific, Legally Blonde; TV- The New Normal, Modern Family) and many other theater-related actors. After an epic, eight-episode competition of culinary greats, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian was crowned winner in last night's action-packed finale of The Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs. New York-based Zakarian went up against San Francisco Chef Elizabeth Falkner in the season's final holiday-themed showdown in Kitchen Stadium, where Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Masaharu Morimoto joined the judging panel to determine who would join their elite culinary society. Zakarian's first Iron Chef America battle will air on Sunday, December 25th at 9pm ET/PT.

Last night was the season premiere of The Food Network's THE NEXT IRON CHEF: SUPER CHEFS. Ten contestants are were brought out to the middle of nowhere, where they were divided into two-person teams and told to build a fire and cook a meal using minimal supplies.
