BroadwayWorld has a first look at A TASTE OF THINGS TO COME, a slice-of-life original musical comedy that makes its Chicago debut at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) for a limited six-week engagement March 20 through April 29, 2018.

Broadway Sessions recently celebrated the music of award winning composing team Thomson and Desmon. Jeffrey Thomson and Jeremy Desmon are responsible for musicals One Hit Wonder, The Oliver Experiment, Pump Up the Volume and the highly anticipated Nancy Drew. Wonderful writers tend to have some wonderful friends who tend to want to get their hands on their music! And that's a very good thing.

It was a New Works Palooza' recently at Broadway Sessions as we welcomed some of NYC's most celebrated writers and composers to share their latest and greatest with us! Well the latest and greatest music deserves some of the greatest voices and we got just that! Writers Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde, Bat Boy, Heathers), Rob Rokicki (The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Monster Songs), Nat Zagree, Carner and Gregor, Drew Gasparini, Thomson and Desmon, Nate Bertone and Melissa Modifier, Alexander Sage Oyen and Joe Iconis all presented amazing new music interpreted by vocalists Luca Padovan ( School of Rock), Allie Trimm (13), Emily Schultheis (Wicked), Imari Hardon (Avenue Q), Kate Loprest (Wicked), Janinie DiVIta (If/Then), Marissa Rosen (DIVA) and more. Enjoy these hot new tunes, cause you never know what's gonna be the next big song on Broadway or in your audition book!

On Monday October 16, 16 Wicked women gathered in song in The Green Room 42. The Green Elixir Mixer was a one night only concert featuring some of the most iconic actresses to have ever played the roles of Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked. The lineup included original Broadway cast members, current cast members and so many in between.

Creator Bret Shuford (Paramour, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast), in partnership with Kevin Zak and Halleloo Productions, just launched Stranger Things the Musical - a video parody that takes a look inside rehearsals for a fictional production of Stranger Things. Check it out below!

Scott Alan made his concert debut at 54 Below just last week on, January 19th with a slew of Broadway all-star talent, including 2014 Tony winners Jessie Mueller and James Monroe Iglehart, Tony nominees Joshua Henry andChad Kimball, as well as Lilla Crawford, Erin Davie, Mykal Kilgore, Natalie Weiss, Christine Dwyer, Julian Cihi, Danny Calvert, Elizabeth Stanley, Abby Mueller, Christiane Noll, Jessica Phillips, Lisa Brescia, Ashley Brown, Eden Espinosa, Marcus Paul James, Julia Murney, Marissa Rosen, Christina Cataldo and Galyana Castillo joined Alan. Award-winning composer Jeff Thomson made his debut at 54 Below with 'Go Where The Love Is' last week, January 20. The evening will highlight material from the upcoming musicals Pump Up the Volume, Trails, and Jawbreaker, as well as several yet-to-be-revealed projects. Big Thunder Productions will present Mercury Rising, a Benefit Concert by MSS Alums in the Big Apple, a cabaret event to be performed on Sunday, September 15th at 4pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The event will feature songs from new, bound-for-Broadway musicals written by up-and-coming composers and lyricists from all over the globe, including Mercury Summer Stock's own Dan Marshall, Carla Rose Fisher, and Aliyana Stewart. This benefit concert will feature Broadway's Corey Mach and Drew Aber, and over a dozen of Mercury's NYC-based professional alumni, along with special guest Marissa Rosen. THE CONCRETE JUNGLE will have a CD Release Concert at the Cutting Room on March 6 featuring: Kate Shindle as Vanessa, Marissa Rosen as Abby, Nick Dalton as Guy, Jason Gotay as Simon, Anne Brummel as Claire, Jodi Bluestein as Katie, and Geoffrey Kidwell as Dunkan. The concert will also feature songs from the Broadway bound W2ML performed by Gerard Canonico and Mallory Bechtel, the award winning DAYBREAK performed by Erik Sisco, and the 2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship recipient 'TIL DEATH DO US PART performed by Ward Billeisen, Jackie Vanderbeck, Brett Teresa & Lizzie Hagstedt.

On Saturday, May 19, 2012 Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BwayPride.org) in conjunction with the TADA! Youth Theater joined over twenty-five Broadway, Off Broadway, and National Tour performers to remind everyone 'it gets better.' The song, which included TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, was done to promote equality and stop bullying. 'It Gets Better' was written in 2010 by composers, Jay Kuo & Blair Shepard after a string of LGBT suicides across the country. This song will be featured in Broadway Sings for Pride's Second Annual Gay Pride Concert on Monday, June 25, 2012 in Manhattan. For tickets and information, click here.
