Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has just made its Philadelphia premiere at the Academy of Music. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, is performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America. Rachelle Ann Go, who will soon star as 'Gigi' in the highly-anticipated West End return of MISS SAIGON, was invited by original star Lea Salonga to perform at the Philippine International Convention Center. Laurence started his career as an actor in which he took part in various plays, musicals and recordings. It was while performing in Les Miserablesthat he was asked to direct his first musical, A Slice of Saturday Night, which played for a one-night charity gala at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. Since then Laurence has worked as resident director on the award-winning production of The King and I at the London Palladium, which went on to a national UK tour that Laurence assisted in the direction of. It was from here that he went on to become the associate director of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, London. Laurence also worked alongside Rupert Goold as the Associate Director of Oliver! at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Recent credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar (UK and Australian Arena Tour), the entirely new stage production of The Phantom of the Opera (UK Tour), Oliver! (UK Tour) and the new version of Miss Saigon (UK Tour and Worldwide).

At long last, the phenomenon is coming home. Cameron Mackintosh's production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece LES MISERABLES will return to the Imperial Theatre, the show's home on Broadway for nearly 13 years and 5244 performances. Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group announced earlier today that their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will launch a North American tour beginning this November in Providence, R.I at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will play more than 20 multi-week engagements through next year, including Cincinnati, OH and Minneapolis, MN. A complete tour schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. First unveiled in March, 2012 in Plymouth, England, this reinvented PHANTOM has been an enormous box-office and critical hit throughout the U.K. Check out photos and highlights from the newly imagined production below!

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, 'Les Misérables' is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of 'Les Misérables' includes the classic songs 'I Dreamed a Dream,' 'On My Own,' 'Stars,' 'Bring Him Home,' 'Do You Hear The People Sing?,' 'One Day More,' 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,' 'Master of The House' and many more. Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Boublil and Schönberg's 'Les Misérables' has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer from the original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel and additional material by James Fenton. The production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, designed by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo with costumes by Andreane Neofitou and additional costumes by Christine Rowlands, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Mick Potter.
