Just yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama called upon producer Harvey Weinstein to create 'Broadway at the White House,' an all day symposium on careers in the theater created especially for deserving high school students. The day was hosted by Matthew Morrison, currently starring in Broadway's Finding Neverland and Tony-winner Kristin Chenoweth and included such Broadway stars as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Estefan, Christian Borle, Cicely Tyson, Laura Michelle Kelly and performances by the casts of Finding Neverland, Fun Home, An American in Paris, On Your Feet!, School of Rockand Something Rotten. What happens when 7 grown men are forced, because of the astronomical rents in Manhattan, to live together in a small one bedroom apartment? MARY-KATE and the SEVEN, based loosely on the story of Snow White and her 7 dwarfs, looks at the ever widening gulf between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' in modern day America and the extremes of celebrity. One of the Olsen twins is hungry for fame while the other is just hungry... for a cookie. When the 7 men find the aforementioned Olsen twin in their dumpster, is she perhaps their ticket out of the hellish life they are living? Could they, should they, ransom her? And if they do, will her sister want her back or is she more valuable in terms of celebrity if she is missing or better yet, dead? How much do we really need to be happy?

The launch event for SETH'S BROADWAY DIARY, VOLUME 2, featured Stephanie J. Today in 2003, Wicked opened at the Gershwin Theatre, where it is still running. Wicked is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), who struggle through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace. Its original stars included Idina Menzel as Elphaba, Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, and Joel Grey as the Wizard. The original Broadway production won 3 Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards whilst its cast album received a Grammy Award.

This past Saturday, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth invited Chicago songwriter/AEA actress Jess Godwin onstage during her concert at the Chicago Theatre to sing a stunning rendition of 'For Good' from the musical WICKED.

Academy Award-winning Hollywood musical 'Oklahoma!' returns to theaters nationwide for the first time in wide release in 60 years fully restored and with extended pre-show featurette featuring Okie native Kristin Chenoweth singing songs from the classic musical based on the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II stage production. The limited theatrical re-release, a partnership between BY Experience and Rodgers & Hammerstein, An Imagem Company, begins November 1st with more than 1,300 screenings nationwide.
