The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will begin previews for the New York premiere production of GIANT, an epic love story with book by Sybille Pearson and music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, on Friday, October 26. Directed by Michael Greif, GIANT runs through Sunday, December 2 in The Public's Newman Theater at its Astor Place home, with an official press opening on Tuesday, November 13. Dallas Theater Center presents Giant at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center through Feb. 19. Tony Award-nominated Michael Greif will direct this new musical by Sybille Pearson and Michael John LaChiusa. Aaron Lazar stars as Bick and Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow) plays Leslie. Lazarand Baldwin recently stopped by Dallas' GMT whwre they performed a song from the show. Singer/songwriter Katie Thompson will be celebrating the release of her third album, ‘Private Page' at the Triad on March 4th, 2011 at 7pm. The concert will be produced by Jill Johnson and Shea Sullivan and will feature songs from the highly anticipated album. Tickets can be purchased now at www.triadnyc.com. 'Private Page' CD's will be available for purchase at the concert. The album's digital release will be Tuesday, March 15th, 2011.
