Comedy legend Larry David returned once again to Saturday Night Live last night as Bernie Sanders. This time, David's Sanders was eager to apologize on behalf of his supporters, saying, 'I want to thank everyone for voting for me and apologize to everyone else for making your Facebook feeds so, so annoying. Larry David made his SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE hosting debut on the February 6th telecast of NBC's iconic late-night franchise. David, the co-creator of the series 'Seinfeld' and creator/star of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' was an 'SNL' writer during the show's 10th season.
Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander recently assumed the role of 'Norman Drexel' in Larry David's hit comedy Fish In the Dark, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Alexander steps into the role created by David in the comedy about a death in the family. In The Nance, celebrated playwright Douglas Carter Beane tells the story of Chauncey Miles (Nathan Lane), a headline nance performer in the twilight of New York burlesque's era. Integrating burlesque sketches into his drama, Beane paints the portrait of a homosexual man living and working in the secretive and dangerous gay world of 1930's New York, whose outrageous antics on the burlesque stage stand in marked contrast to his messy offstage life.
