Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) Broadway production ofThe Mystery of Edwin Drood began previews on October 19th. The show opens officially on Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th St.). This is a limited engagement through February 10th, 2013.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced casting for the new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award® winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The Mystery Of Edwin Drood will star Stephanie J. Block (Edwin Drood), Will Chase (John Jasper), Gregg Edelman (Reverend Mr. Crisparkle), Jim Norton (Chairman) and Chita Rivera (Princess Puffer) with Andy Karl (Neville Landless), Jessie Mueller (Helena Landless), Betsy Wolfe (Rosa Bud), Nicholas Barasch (Deputy), Peter Benson (Bazzard), Robert Creighton (Durdles), Alison Cimmet, Nick Corley, Justin Greer, Shannon Lewis, Kiira Schmidt, Eric Sciotto, Jim Walton, Cody Williams. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
In the WBT production of GEORGE M!, John Scherer, as George M. Cohan, is joined by a terrific cast including the 'Four Cohans': Jim Walton as George's father, Jerry, Melodie Wolford of Putnam Valley as George's mom, Nellie and Amanda Trusty as his sister, Josie. George's first wife, Ethel, is played by Laura Schutter and Jeanette Minson is Agnes, who becomes George's second wife. Katharine Heaton is Fay Templeton, Gary Lynch plays Sam Harris, Carol Schuberg plays Ma Templeton/Grimaldi. Check out highlights from the production in the video below!
19 cast members of the original 1981 Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, including leading actors Lonny Price, Ann Morrison and Jim Walton, were reunited at New York City Center for a reception and performance of the City Center Encores! production on Tuesday, February 14. It was an event we would not have missed and BroadwayWorld has been bringing you photos and video highlights of the event throughout the week. This morning, we take you inside the opening night reception and joyful curtain call, during which both companies joined in for a chorus of 'Old Friends' along with Stephen Sondheim himself.
LIVING FOR TODAY, with musical direction by Nate Patten, and direction by David Alpert, played a one-night-only engagement at the newly renovated Joe's Pub last night, October 17, 2011 at 7:00PM. The fourth annual LIVING FOR TODAY concert showcased Broadway stars in an exciting night of music. This year's concert, titled FIRST NAME BASIS, featured everyone's favorite showtunes, but only those with a first name in the title. Proceeds go to the Gilana Shira Alpert Fund.

As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the rehearsal run with special guest performers Paul Shaffer (who wrote the tune) and Martha Wash (the song's original songstress).
