Last Monday's industry reading of Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin's musical 'Ghostlight at The New 42nd Street Studios was so high in demand that a second performance had to be added earlier in the day. Last Monday's starry cast included Tony nominees Carolee Carmello and Robert Cuccioli, as well as 'That's So Raven's Anneliese Van Der Pol, 'Pippin's Rachel Bay Jones, Jennifer Hope Wills, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, and Trevor McQueen. Show Boat, the American musical masterpiece with a grand score by Oscar Hammerstein and Jerome Kern that includes the classic songs 'Ol' Man River' and 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man,' is now playing at the Wells Fargo Pavilion through July 14. Generally considered America's first true musical, the show has not been at Music Circus in 12 years, and this is its first time at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. Directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, this production will feature Philadelphia's very own Jeffrey Coon and Broadway's Jennifer Hope Wills. The cast also includes a live horse that will pull the Wells Fargo Wagon in the first act. THE MUSIC MAN runs now through January 6th on the WST Mainstage. Now in its phenomenal 22nd Year, the Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Group, Inc. production, directed by Harold Prince, continues to play at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), with no end in sight.
Radio Broadway Presents 'The Radio Hits of 1958' will feature a variety of Broadway stars, American Idol's Constantine Maroulis and alumni from American Bandstand and will be presented on Monday, June 30 at 8 p.m. at The Town Hall, Times Square's landmark concert venue.
