George Street Playhouse presents the musical romance Daddy Long Legs, on stage now through December 24. With book by two-time Tony Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables, Nicholas Nickleby) and music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre), Daddy Long Legs stars Ben Michael as Jervis, the titular "Daddy Long Legs" who anonymously sponsors the college education of Elise Vannerson's Jerusha.

McGinnis originated the role of Jerusha Abbott at the Rubicon in 2009 and took the musical to the West End before Off-Broadway.

Stars Megan McGinnis and Adam Halpin shared celebratory cake with Tuesday night's audience members.

Paul Gordon and John Caird's chamber musical was performed in Japan, London and across America before arriving Off-Broadway.

Starring Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, Side Show, Little Women) and Paul Alexander Nolan (Broadway's Once, Jesus Christ Superstar, Doctor Zhivago) and based on the 1912 novel by Jean Webster, Daddy Long Legs features music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility), book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (LES MISERABLES), and direction by John Caird. Daddy Long Legs begins previews on September 10, 2015, and will officially open September 28, 2015. Tickets are on sale now at Telecharge.com. John Caird's production of DADDY LONG LEGS is now playing at London's newest theatre complex, the St. James Theatre. DADDY LONG LEGS will run at the St. James Theatre until 08 December.
