The critically-acclaimed new Broadway musical NEWSIES, based on the cult classic movie of the same name starring Christian Bale, is currently in performances at the Nederlander Theatre. The show just released a new commercial which features the song 'Seize the Day.'

Hundreds of hopeful actors, ages 6 to 16, showed up at the Circle in the Square Theatre today, April 25, to audition for the Broadway musical GODSPELL. The audition panel, including director Daniel Goldstein, is looking to fill 10 roles in the show. About 300 kids, including Holly Block, Gaten Matarazzo and Ellis Gage, who are featured in the video below, performed 16 measures of music for the panel.

On April 13th, SILENCE! The Musical received the 2012 Telly Award for Use of Humor in a Television Commercial. The hit Off-Broadway show's new commercial won the prestigious honor at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards over nearly 11,000 entries from around the world. The company of Broadway's first-ever revival of Stephen Schwartz's rock musical GODSPELL welcomed a new leading man -- stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (Disney's 'High School Musical,' Broadway's In the Heights) -- to the starring role of Jesus last night, April 17. Newsies, the new American musical, which is currently in performances at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St) was featured on ABC's 'Good Morning America' this morning, April 16. For the second installment in their series 'Cam's Cam-eo,' the 'Good Morning America' cameras were there as correspondent Cameron Mathison made a series of cameos in a recent performance of Newsies, after spending the day with the company learning how to be a newsie. Jeremy Jordan, who stars as Jack Kelly in Newsies on Broadway, sat down with the co-hosts of the ABC daytime television program 'The View' yesterday, March 13th. This marked Jordan's second appearance on 'The View;' he and the cast of Newsies debuted two songs from the show while it was at Paper Mill Playhouse, an appearance that was instrumental in the show's eventual Broadway transfer.
