Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. Broadway veterans John Treacy Egan (Jekyll & Hyde, The Little Mermaid) and Christian Borle (Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins) recently recorded a song for the NPR radio series 'This American Dream,' entitled 'Bet Against the American Dream.' Written by Tony Award winning composer and lyricist of Avenue Q, Robert Lopez, the tune appeared in the April 9 episode entitled 'Inside Job.' Bruce Coughlin orchestrated the song while Stephen Oremus acted as music supervisor/producer.
