Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Last month, due to public demand, a further 200,000 tickets were released for sale taking bookings at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 18 February 2017. W New York - Times Square announced today the launch of Ultimate Encore, a short film written and directed by Alan Cumming, in celebration of the newly renovated Living Room, the brand's signature, see-and-be-seen spin on the hotel lobby. Through the film, Cumming captures the energetic and dramatic designs of the new space, while celebrating its location in the heart of Times Square. Ultimate Encore will also raise money and awareness for pet charity, Broadway Barks, with proceeds from the items featured in the film being donated to the great cause. Paper Mill Playhouse presents the world-premiere musical Ever After, directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), featuring a book and lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich. Ever After began performances last night, May 21, 2015, and runs through Sunday, June 21, 2015. Below, check out highlights from the production!

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL hosted a nationwide open call casting search inside the historic Lunt Fontanne Theatre for African American singers for both the flagship Broadway production and the upcoming national tour. NY1 anchor Cheryl Wills was on hand to capture the excitement as hopefuls lined up around the block to audition for the smash hit musical.
