BroadwayWorld UK were lucky enough to go backstage and talk to Natalie Kassanga and Jay Perry about joining the smash hit musical Motown, currently playing at Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End.

The Wallis production of BLUES IN THE NIGHT, conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, starts performances next week in the intimate Lovelace Theater! Artistic Director Paul Crewes snuck into rehearsal to chat with cast members Yvette Cason, Bryce Charles, Chester Gregory, and Paulette Ivory about this exciting new production.

A new musical, AIN'T TOO PROUD-THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS chronicles the journey of five young men on the streets of Detroit who became music legends. The show runs through October 22 at Berkeley Rep Theatre!

Berkeley Rep's newest musical AIN'T TOO PROUD: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF OF THE TEMPTATIONS started previews on August 31. Go behind the scenes and hear from director Des McAnuff, writer Dominique Morisseau, choreographer Sergio Trujillo, and more as they discuss bringing this show to life.

On this day in 2013, Motown the Musical opened at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. 

Meet Nana Ageyman-Bediako (11 years old from Haringey, London), Raphael Higgins-Humes (11 years old from Greenwich, London), Rio Myers (10 years old from Lewisham, London) and Tumo Reetsang (12 years old from Southwark, London), who alternate the roles of Young Michael Jackson, Young Berry Gordy and Young Stevie Wonder in the hit West End show MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. HAMILTON's Brandon Victor Dixon discussed Vice President elect Mike Pence's recent controversial visit to the Broadway musical, and responded to critics who believe that the statements made by the cast following the show, may not have been the right and place to be made. 

Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, who currently takes on the role of Aaron Burr in the smash Broadway hit HAMILTON, stopped by MTV's The People's Playhouse around midnight last night to perform 'We Are.'

Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Last month, due to public demand, a further 200,000 tickets were released for sale taking bookings at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 18 February 2017. The talented cast of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL treated unsuspecting passengers to an impromptu performance on a Virgin Air flight to Detroit.

The touring production of MOTOWN the Musical sent a special 'Happy Trails' to the Broadway Production of MOTOWN, closing today, Sunday Jan. 18. With direction and arrangement by Jesse Nager (Smokey Robinson) the video features Julius Thomas III (Berry Gordy), Allison Semmes (Diana Ross), Jarran Muse (Marvin Gaye), Krisha Mercano (Suzanne De Passe), and Rod Harrelson (dance captain), all of whom joined the tour from the Broadway company. The video also has appearances from the entire company currently in Philadelphia. Check it out below!
