Epic Theatre Ensemble, now in their 11th year, presents William Shakespeare's MACBETH, part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in cooperation with Arts Midwest.

People's Light & Theatre is pleased to announce that Zak Berkman, a Founding Executive Director of New York's Epic Theatre Ensemble, and Pete Pryor, Co-Founder of Philadelphia's 1812 Productions, will join the Theatre's full-time staff in September as Associate Artistic Directors.

On Wednesday, November 17 at 7 p.m., the Epic Theatre Ensemble will present a staged reading of Kate Fodor's acclaimed play Hannah and Martin at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. David Strathairn and Melissa Friedman will star in this play about the controversial relationship between Jewish political theorist Hannah Arendt and her mentor and lover, Martin Heidegger, the renowned philosopher who used his fame and brilliance to help further the goals of the Nazi party.

Blanka Zizka will direct the monumental three and one-half hour reading which will feature Rick Foucheux. Following the performance, Roth, Peter Sichrovsky, and other special guests will take part in a Q&A.
