STAGE TUBE: Corey Cott and the Cast of NEWSIES Accept Ice Bucket Challenge from PIPPIN!

The national tour company of PIPPIN challenged the Broadway cast of NEWSIES to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and the boys have taken them up on their dare. NEWSIES is now challenging Alan Cumming and the Broadway company of CABARET, the Broadway company of MATILDA, and James Iglehart and the cast of ALADDIN. Watch their submission below!

Meet the Current Casts of Broadway's Long Running Hits - NEWSIES!

A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . The 12th annual Broadway Stands Up for Freedom benefit concert was a bona fide smash. A cast of Broadway's finest - including Lena Hall, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Condola Rashad, and Robin de Jesus took the stage at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, July 21, 2014 to celebrate the work of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, just welcomed an array of award-winning performers for Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, its annual benefit concert, which was held last night, July 21, at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, NYC). Special guests included: Adam Chanler-Berat, Justin Guarini, Zach Unger, Barrett Foa, Lena Hall, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Condola Rashad, Robin de Jesus, Seth Rudetsky, Telly Leung and more! Original NEWSIES Star Capathia Jenkins Returns as 'Medda' Today

NEWSIES welcomes back original cast member Capathia Jenkins in the role of 'Medda Larkin'. Jenkins, who originated the role on Broadway, begins performances tonight, July 15 and will remain with the hit musical through its final performance on August 24.

Newsies, the Tony Award® winning 'Critics' Pick,' just announced that original cast member Capathia Jenkins will return to the show in the role of Medda Larkin. Jenkins, who originated the role on Broadway, begins performances onTuesday, July 15 and will remain with the hit musical through its final performance on August 24.

BREAKING NEWS: NEWSIES to Close on Broadway This August

This Just In! Intended initially for a limited run, and turning into a 2+ year hit, Newsies, featuring a score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, will play its final performance at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre onS unday, August 24, 2014 prior to launching its national tour in October. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Newsies is directed by Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

Rosie O'Donnell, one of Broadway's biggest supporters, went to see the Tony Award-winning smash-hit musical Newsies at the Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St.) this weekend. Following the performance, Ms. O'Donnell went backstage to meet the cast, later tweeting, 'LOVED IT SO MUCH - amazing talent on that stage!' 28th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition Raises $4.5 Million for BC/EFA!

The generosity of theatre fans during six weeks of fundraising by 57 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies helped push the 28th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition to another record high, raising $4,532,129 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Jeremy Greenbaum Joins NEWSIES as 'Davey' Beginning Tonight

Newsies, the Tony Award® winning "Critics' Pick," is pleased to announce that Jeremy Greenbaum will temporarily join the cast in the role of Davey beginning with this evening's performance and will play the role throughSunday, May 18, 2014. He steps in for Ben Fankhauser, who originated the role. Greenbaum makes his Broadway debut in the hit musical, marking the 29th such debut since Newsies opened on Broadway in 2012.
