The New Museum and the IDEAS CITY Executive Committee announced today the full line-up of mayors who will participate in a signature panel discussion that will conclude the IDEAS City Conference at 7:30 p.m. on May 2 at the Great Hall, Cooper Union. In its inaugural year, this event drew a standing-room-only audience.

Banana Republic announced that Simon Kneen, Creative Director and Executive Vice President, Design, has been awarded a Doctor of Arts honoris causa from Kingston University in London, United Kingdom. A Kingston University graduate, Kneen was nominated and awarded for his 30-year commitment and success in the fashion and design industry. Kneen will accept this prestigious award at an honorary commencement ceremony on April 8, 2013 at the Rose Theatre in the heart of Kingston upon Thames.

L'Oreal announced today the opening of its largest factory in the world in Indonesia. The 66,000 m2 building is located about 60 kilometers from Jakarta, at the Jababeka Industrial Estate, West Java, Indonesia. With a staged investment totalling EUR 100 million (approximately IDR 1.25 trillion), this new factory will serve as the production hub for the South-East Asian region.
