?Casting has been announced for the Dayton engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Dayton's most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Schuster stage from Tuesday, June 7 to Sunday, July 3. The press opening night is Wednesday, June 8 at 8 p.m. The show's four-week premiere engagement in 2011 played a sold-out run at the Schuster Center.
Broadway In Chicago is currently presenting the return engagement of DISNEY'S THE LION KING. The World's #1 Musical leap tonto the stage of the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) on December 2, 2015, where it will continue through January 17, 2016. Disney Theatrical Productions announced today that Dean John-Wilson will play the role of Aladdin alongside Jade Ewen as Jasmine in the West End premiere of the new musical based on the classic Academy Award-winning animated film. BroadwayWorld previously reported that the duo were in negotiations for the show, but the official word came today.

A total of 4,800 students from 26 states, the District of Columbia and two countries participated in the celebration of musical theatre presented by iTheatrics at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia. "I had the great pleasure of witnessing the HSMT students' superb artistic talent and an incredible standing ovation of 4,800 of their peers when their performance in the New Works Showcase was complete. I am proud that TUTS has the Humphreys School and am in awe of its accomplishments," said Bob Lawson, TUTS' Director of Education.

In Milwaukee, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. There will be special weekday matinee performances on Friday, November 28 at 2:00 pm and Thursday, December 4 at 2:00 pm. There will not be a performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). The show's five-week premiere engagement in 2008 played a sold-out run at the Milwaukee Theatre. 'Thus far sales have exceeded our expectations for the return of Lion King in Milwaukee, but there are still great seats available,' said Paul Mathews, President and CEO of the Marcus Center.
