Ann Hampton Callaway Returns to New Hope for Grand Opening of Bob Egan's New Hope, 11/6 & 11/7

Bob Egan Entertainment is proud to present the Bucks County return of multiplatinum-selling singer, composer, lyricist, pianist and actress, Ann Hampton Callaway, at Bob Egan's New Hope, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday November 7. Callaway will perform Saturday evening at 8:30 pm and two shows on Sunday, November at 3:00 and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $45.

Texas Pefroming Arts Features Baptista and Souza, 10/25

In a Texas Performing Arts exclusive engagement, renowned percussionist Cyro Baptista demonstrates his musical breadth as a performer in back-to-back, contrasting programs at Hogg Memorial Auditorium. Monday, October 25 he performs with Grammy Award winning jazz singer Luciana Souza and guitarist Romero Lubambo. The following evening Cyro recreates his 1997 solo debut album, Villa-Lobos/Vira-Loucos with a full band.

Sheldon Concert Hall Presents Victor Goines 11/13

Goines's career includes performances throughout the world, earning him acclaim from audiences, critics, students and colleagues. A native of New Orleans, Goines began playing clarinet at the age of eight, and continued his studies with Carl Blouin, Sr., who introduced him to the saxophone at St. Augustine High School. In 1980, he entered Loyola University in New Orleans where he studied clarinet and saxophone, receiving a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in 1984. As Goines's interest in jazz increased, he contacted Ellis Marsalis in 1983 to take private lessons and eight months later, Marsalis selected Goines to play saxophone as a member of his quartet.

U.S. jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln Center orchestra will play concerts in Cuba this week with what he said on Monday was a simple goal -- to bring people together through music. The New York-based jazz orchestra, making its first trip to the communist-led island, is set to play concerts Tuesday through Saturday and give classes to young Cuban musicians.
