Natalie Cole Makes Walt Disney Concert Hall Debut 12/8

By:

Nine-time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and performer Natalie Cole makes her Walt Disney Concert Hall debut with big band accompaniment, Wednesday, December 8, 2010, singing classic R&B and American standards. Over the years, Cole has proven to be one of the most beloved performers of all time with a vast collection of #1 singles such as "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)," "I've Got Love on Mind," "Pink Cadillac," and the celebrated duet with her father Nat King Cole, "Unforgettable."

Natalie Cole's musical fame began in the mid-Seventies with the release of Inseparable and is only rivaled by her work as an actress and a writer. She has made more than 300 major television appearances and recently released a memoir, LOVE BROUGHT ME BACK: A Journey of Loss and Gain (Simon and Schuster), recounting her two-year physical and emotional battle with life-threatening illness.

The Jazz Series continues in January with composer and pianist Brad Mehldau and his highly acclaimed Highway Rider and Chamber Orchestra (January 21, 2011); the swingin' Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (February 15, 2011); and Los Angeles Philharmonic's Creative Chair for Jazz Herbie Hancock (March 5, 2011).
