The Sheldon and Peter Martin Music present Peter Martin Music: Live featuring Brazilian guitar master Romero Lubambo, Saturday, December 4 at 8 p.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. Joining Martin and Lubambo is special guest, vocalist Erin Bode, Riverfront Times winner for Best Jazz Artist in 2009.

Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo is a force on the Latin jazz scene. Born in Rio de Janeiro and now based in New York, the virtuoso musician has established himself as a performer and composer, collaborating with artists such as Michael Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Paquito D'Rivera and Kenny Barron, among many others, and leading his own groundbreaking ensemble, Trio da Paz. Lubambo and Martin have a long history together playing for vocalist Dianne Reeves.

Raised in St. Louis, and with strong roots in the New Orleans jazz scene, Peter Martin, RFT winner for Best Jazz Artist in 2010, is an accomplished pianist, producer, arranger and composer, and has traveled the world playing with today's finest jazz musicians. Through the recurring Peter Martin Music: Live series, Martin showcases jazz masters past and present in an intimate and casual setting.
