Fortifying its commitment to invest in premium documentary programming, HISTORY has announced today 'HISTORY 100,' (working title) an ambitious new strand comprised of 100 films focusing on the most compelling historical events of the last 100 years. The first batch of eight films will spotlight significant stories in American history deserving to be told, such as the Mercury 13 group of prospective female astronauts that ignited an early public debate on gender equality, or provide new points of entry into iconic subjects like Mikhail Gorbachev. From acclaimed, award-winning auspices including Barbara Kopple (American Dream), Daniel Junge (Saving Face), Charles Ferguson (Inside Job) and Werner Herzog (Into the Inferno, Grizly Man), 'HISTORY 100' is a complement to the network's ongoing non-fiction and scripted series programming slate.

HISTORY announces 'Evel Live,' an unprecedented three-hour live event premiering Sunday, July 8 at 8PM ET as part of the network's second annual car week. During 'Evel Live,' American professional motorsports icon Travis Pastrana will honor legendary daredevil Evel Knievel by attempting three of his most dangerous feats in Las Vegas, Nevada, all while riding a modern day recreation inspired by the motorcycle Knievel used. These include: breaking Knievel's record jump over 50 cars, another record-breaking jump over 14 full size buses, and aiming to make history as the first person to successfully jump the Caesar's Palace fountain on a bike similar to the one Knievel used 50 years ago - an attempt that ended with a crash that left him grasping for life. If Pastrana rides away from all three, he will be the only person to successfully beat two of Knievel's distance records and land a jump over the fountain on a v-twin motorcycle. All of this will happen in the span of just three hours, and HISTORY will capture every exhilarating, nerve-wracking moment live.

After wrapping up twelve consecutive months of total viewer growth in February on the back of the network's groundbreaking brand of brave storytelling, A&E is adding four new projects to its signature nonfiction slate, it was announced today by Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming. On the heels of recent critical and ratings successes including Emmy(R)- award winning series 'Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath,' 'Born This Way,' 'Intervention' and 'Biography,' along with one of the most-watched series on cable, 'Live PD,' these additions to the schedule reinforce A&E's core mission to deliver thought-provoking nonfiction programming.

According to Comingsoon.net, the forthcoming documentary following the life of Whitney Houston will be released this summer on July 6. LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts is pleased to announce programming for its inaugural summer 2018 season, which will fill venues surrounding the organization's highly anticipated new facility in Catskill, New York-set to open its own doors in Fall 2018. The season,which runs from June 28 - September 1, represents the fullest realization to date of LUMBERYARD's unique dual promise: to make transformative contributions both to the cultural landscape and economic health of Upstate New York and to the field of contemporary performance in New York City and the U.S. by bringing renowned and emerging artists across the performing arts landscape to Catskill for out-of-town premieres, usually incubated through LUMBERYARD's signature technical residencies.

Nickelodeon has ordered 10 episodes of a brand-new digital short-form series, Musical Dares (working title), a new twist on the classic concept of musical chairs, set to air on Nickelodeon's Youtube channel. Created and executive produced by multi-faceted entertainer Nick Cannon, the live-action game show will combine real kids, physical competition and a full-blown dance party. As part of the work of the Viacom Digital Studios, Musical Dares is Nickelodeon's first original short-form series, and will begin production this summer.

Nickelodeon announced today the development of Los Casagrandes (working title), a companion series to the animated hit THE LOUD HOUSE that will follow Lincoln Loud's friend Ronnie Anne and her extended family, the Casagrandes, who live together in the big city. Nickelodeon has also greenlit a fourth season (26 episodes) of The Loud House, which will include a six-episode story arc featuring the Casagrandes. Since its launch in 2016, THE LOUD HOUSE has remained one of Nickelodeon's top-rated shows and is currently the number-one series across television with Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11 year to date.
